Your unique set of skills, talents, and experience is exactly the expertise that the Center needs to make a real difference in our community. Whether your interest is in teaching a course, applying your skills behind the scenes managing our programs, or directly reaching out to serve others, there is a place waiting for you at The Shepherd’s Center. We know how important your time is, and we value it. We’ll work with you to find a schedule that fits your life and allows you the flexibility that you need, while offering you a meaningful way to get involved. Together, we make an impact on some of the most important (and often forgotten) social issues, like inadequate transportation for seniors.
Each individual who offers his or her talents, time and heart to The Shepherd’s Center brings a unique perspective and experience. We are an organization made up almost entirely of volunteers. To work with us is to contribute to who and what we are. Your lifetime of experience is precisely we are looking for! Winston Churchill said it best: “We make a living by what we get…we make a life by what we give.” Please consider joining our team.
Take a look at the brief descriptions below which will give you a sense of what is needed, and what you might like to discuss with us further. Please send us an email (pgrimes@TSCOR.org) or give us a call (804-355-7282) to find out how to start volunteering with TSCOR!
